Miho Ichise, based in Fukuoka with honors from the University of Arts London, is an artist who paints the wonder of small unnoticed details found in her everyday life. Her work is a discovery of emotion often beyond words where one can meditate on light, shadow and texture through a  more subtle and intimate lens. Ichise chooses moments that are fleeting but striking and photographs them before truly playing with them on canvas. Once there, the scene evolves becoming figurative and nostalgic, like poetry, whilst intending to connect to the viewer’s inner child and world. Ichise wants her work to open a door beyond just sight by delving into the moment’s true texture, scents and sounds with every color and brushstroke.Contemplative and rich in detail, Ichise succeeds in charming us with her serene, playful and mysterious atmospheres that extend from the canvas and into the imagination.
